Where do I submit my decklist and confirm my registration for the Open?
When will tickets go on sale?
Tickets will go on sale April 12, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. EST. The tickets will cost $105 and will be available ONLY on thelegacypit.com. There will be no on-site event registration for the main event.
What COVID precautions are being taken?
Masks are mandatory at the open. We will take CDC guidelines into consideration regarding player seating.
What is the mask enforcement policy?
In the event space, located inside the ballroom, masks MUST be worn at all times. If you are seen improperly wearing a mask (not covering your mouth and nose), you will be asked by a tournament official to kindly put on a mask or adjust your mask. If you have to be asked to wear a mask a second time, you will be disqualified from the event. You will not receive a refund due to mask enforcement violations or disqualification.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be available in-full to the method of payment up to two weeks prior to the Open. Any refunds requested after that date will not be honored. Refunds can be requested by sending an email from the same email address used for registration to the Legacy Pit email.

Is there free parking at the hotel?
There is free parking available at the hotel.
Is there a hotel block rate?
There is a hotel block rate of $109 per night. The block rate expires on August 18, 2021. There are limited quantities available. Please reserve in advance. Go to thelegacypit.com to reserve your room.
Is there a place at the hotel to play some games and have a drink?
The hotel has plenty of open seating available for players. They also have a full bar inside the restaurant.
Which airports are closest to the hotel?
The closest airports to the hotel are Dulles International and BWI. There is no shuttle service to the hotel from the airport.
Will there be side events?
Yes! We will be running four three-round side events, each costing 20 dollars for entry. The Events will start at 1PM, 2:30PM, 4PM and 5:30PM and are expected to last three hours. Sign ups will be taken onsite. Side Events will payout by record, and will be paid in credit to our onsite vendor: MTG First / MooseLoot.
Decklists are not required for side events.
Will decklists be required?
Yes. For the Open: Decklist submissions will be accepted only through MTGMelee through 11:59 P.M. on September 17, 2021. There will be no on-site decklist registrations or modifications. The link to CardBoard Live will be made available two weeks before the start of the tournament.
If selected for a feature match, what can I wear or show ?
Any messages or visual representations on apparel, or any personally owned products (such as deck sleeves, paper notes, etc…) that could bring The Legacy Pit into notoriety and disrepute will not be allowed on coverage.
Is there food nearby?
The hotel has a restaurant on-site. There are also a variety of fast casual and sit-down restaurants within walking/driving distance of the Open.
I am going to get in Friday night, are there things to do the night before the Open?
There is a lively nightlife atmosphere in Downtown Frederick just a short drive down the street from the hotel. There are dozens of bars, restaurants, and there is beautiful scenery along Carroll Creek Park just waiting to be explored.
Will there be on-site vending at the Open?
There will be on-site vending provided by MTG First. No other vendors will be on-site. All other sales of cards/merchandise will be prohibited.
What security will be available at the Open?
The Clarion Inn has an extensive security system that is monitored in real-time. In addition, we are looking into extra security.
Can I record video and/or stream at the Open?
Live video recording and/or streaming is prohibited while inside of the event venue. This prohibition does not apply to Press, so long as they hold a Press Pass. Any journalist wishing to obtain a Press Pass can request one by emailing Travis.Parsley@TheLegacyPit.com.
Will proxies be allowed at the Open?
No proxies will be allowed at the Open.
Will The Legacy Pit be lending out decks from their extensive library?
